okay. down at the police station people have been debating if we should have a sherrif. i mean, we have a mayor, and he can't do everything! post here if you have opinions, questions, or if you may even want to be this town's sherrif.so....post away.

Cool! I have some questions, though.

How long is the term of service, if any?

Are mayors allowed to run for sheriff?

Can I see the job description?

Do you get to carry around a gun and put a star on your vest?

I'm pretty hyper right now... it's not obligatory to answer the last question.

Star on your vest? Well, if you want to wander around your house wearing a badge, feel free. And we'll all feel free to chuckle heartily if we learn about it... Smile

I doubt that the mayor can hold dual office in this case... and personally, I see no reason to run here. I'm mayor... I don't need a second duty! Smile

Job description? Oh, I don't know, but how about, uh, doing whatever I tell this person to do? Wink

And carry around a gun? Sure, but the bullet stays in your pocket and I reserve the right to take away your gun and bullet after any incidents of shooting through the floor, the walls, your pants, etc. You only get to "Barney-up" (yes, a real shooting term, and yes, based on Mr. Fife's gun... uh, problems...) when we have a real incident on our hands.

And please, don't overuse the sirens.
