Alright.. I find it mind boggling when a couple are dating and they are each other's first bf/gf. Say they got along THE BEST.. they believed the same things.. whatever you know? Alright, I agree with some of what you said. I think it's entirely possible for one to find one's wife or husband on the first try, but on the other hand sometimes it doesn't work out that way...

How does one know to try again with someone else?

Well that's thing thing... you can NEVER know beforehand, but you of all people know that if you want to have fun, or have the best of whatever, you need to take chances.
Also, can I take you to task on something that you said... "Making things work out" is a nice idea, and sometimes it can work, but I'd say that in the vast majority of cases if you have tried to make things work out and they're not working, it's time to let the relationship go... because you certainly don't want to be in that situation when you're married and then you CAN'T let go because you're married. On the other hand, I do think that a lot of couples break up without ever trying at all which isn't good either.
But the main point being that if you never take a chance with anyone (whether taking a chance means some emotional pain or whatever) you'll never know at all will you?

Well, on one hand, in arranged marriages, often times the two fall in love after a few years. They make it work.
But on the other hand, if you are very intent on God's voice and following God, then God will let you know who He wants you to marry (even if you you have never dated or anything similarly), but I agree, bf/gf hopping only causes problems, and accomplishes nothing (except perhapse to make you schitzophrenic, I have heard) |

Alright.. I can read and all, but I don't completely understand the verse. Well I don't think we can completely utterly understand God's word on our own.. but that's beside the point. Ok.. the verse says: "Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires."-NIV
Who is he charging? Just women not to start something? lol Or just people in general.. but how do you know when 'love desires so'??? I just don't understand this verse at all.

| my interpretation of it is not to push something when it might not be the right time... wait for God's timing. He will let you know when it's right, i'm quite sure. Trusting Him always works out for the better. |

Still doesn't sound like a solid answer... I mean, no offence to ANYONE.. I dunno.. It's gonna take an awful lot for a guy to get me to go out with him.. Sure I'm stubborn, but I just don't believe "when it feels right" is a good enough answer for me at least..
