Well, I actually just stumbled upon this board a few weeks ago. I never realized what a contingency of Odyessy fans there are. And y'all are so into it. Not that thats a bad thing, after all I will be 20 years old in a week and I am a HUGE Odyessy fan.

Since finding the board and reading through the posts I have realized that there are people out there who don't care for the character of Wooton. I felt that it was time that I share my opinions on this wonderful character.

Wooton is fun. Its as simple as that. Wooton reminds us to take pleasure in the little thing of life, and that growing up doesn't mean leaving the fun behind.

Wooton is the epitomy of joy. He is joyful in everything, and takes joy in all things. He loves what he does and it shows. I think that we all need to be reminded at times that every thing we do we should be doing "as unto the Lord" (Colossions 3:23) Wooton is a wonderful reminder of that.

Wooton connects with kids. I am the oldest in a large family. All of my brothers and sisters and I will gather in the livingroom each weekend to listen to Odyessy. I can tell you that they all love Wooton. They think he is great. Connecting with kids is important, and that seems to be one of the goals of AIO. Wooton does that because he reaches kids at their level.

There are other reasons I love the character of Wooton... like how he was so willing to drop everything and spend the day with Connie when she needed a friend.

I also love his oddness, as it reminds me of myself. His dream about the butter-turtles... that made me laugh out loud! I can be quite an oddball at times... well my family would probably say that I am odd like that all the time.

So, I've said my peice. Thanks for listening. Respond if you want to... you are all intitled to your opinions. And since liking or disliking the character of Wooton does not deterime salvation, I won't tromp on your opinions Smile

I am unsure over the character of Wooton after I read alwayshis intresting post. I used to dislike him, but alwayshis gave him the credit for things he deserved credit for that had not been credited to him. I suppose he's an okay character. Oh, and I think he's in "Do or Diet" too! Will this episode ruin his character a bit more, or strengthen it some? We will find out in five days!

Thank you!

I love Wooton. He's a little too loopy at times, but not too much - his head is in the clouds quite often, and I think that kind of person does get on some people's nerves...just not mine.

Interestingly, I think his comments to Connie about Mitch's "death" were the highlight of Part 4 of Plan B, and it sounded like he was the first one to really help Connie deal with what was going on in her mind and heart. I hope to see more of that side of him.

He's my neighbors in college. I had records on my wall in my dorm room. He is different, and that is good. He's one of those guys who really doesn't care what people think about him. However, Connie and Whit trust him with the shop, so he must be a trustworthy guy.

I'm really happy that the AIO staff decided to include Wooton in more stories. I like him for the same reasons that alwayshis does. There is a little kid inside of me that just doesn't want to grow up so I feel that I have something in common with him. I like the innocence about him.

He truly cares about helping people and I think he would literally give the shirt off of his back if someone needed it. I'm looking forward to more Wooton shows. I think he's a great guy!

What? Expecting me to say that they shouldn't be putting him in the show as much as they currently are? Well, I've already said that. Botttom line: They need to keep him fresh. I love Wooton. He's great. But if he keeps on coming on the show then the series will become all fun and games and dumb stuff. He needs to show up about only once an album for now...in my opinion. He can't come in all in one cake. We need to be fed in small slices, then we can enjoy it longer and not have a stumach-ache .
