If I could post a sigh of resignation, I would. |

You can. Its looks something like this: *long drawn out sigh of resignation* ;)
And so Sydney continues in disbelieving in the existence of "Il Queen". Tune in next week for the next exciting episode. |

I thought you just got through saying you would accept people having alternate opinions.
Let's be realistic here: most people who do anything because it's "S"aint Patrick's Day (sure, he was a saint, little "s," just like any Christian, but I have a problem with it the other way) aren't remembering Patrick as a missionary... they're thinking of it as a day to perhaps have a party or something.
I mean, consider the whole association with Irish here... the holiday has nothing to do with a country, but it has become attached to one. It has nothing to do with Ireland, four-leaf clovers, leprichans, drunkenness, etc... but face it: most people who come anywhere close to "celebrating" the day go to a bar or something. |

Although, given the option, I would rather have St Patricks Day than Valentines Day.........if only because it seems to have a bit more point to it(not much, but more). However since, at this time, both exist I suppose that what I am saying really is not that relavent.
As usual..... |

Um... Il Queen, I never said that it wasn`t a holiday associated with the Irish. But the holiday itself was not originally a holiday celebrating Ireland, but rather a missionary to the location.
I hope that clarifys things for you. I never was aware that I said anything of the kind, but oh well, say what you wish. |
