Also, Loon Lake provides an interesting clue... the only Loon Lake I know of is in Michigan (although a search online also revealed one to be in Washington state, but I think we can rule it out). So... just across the state line? More proof of Odyssey's Ohio location!
Bennett Charles, you mentioned that Nathan was working up your list of favorite writers. Well, I know it's not far along in his career yet, but I'd say that he's reached the top! |
LOL. I looked at Loon lake on the internet too. I found tons of Loon lakes. It didn't help much where it was though. I actually think Nathan did that on purpose to help the 'Ohio' theory here on the board. |

Loon Lake is one of those lakes that is in nearly every midwestern state. We got tons here in Minnesota. It's kind of like how there's a Springfield in nearly every state.
"Oh Look! They mentioned Main Street! It MUST be that Main Street in the town next to me!" ;)

Nathan is a wonderful writer! He knows what we want, and gives it to us. He is the best AIO writer ever!
I was pleasnantly surprised at Jo being Joanna. I knew that Mandy and "Jo" would look the same.
Writing: What is there to say? What a writer!
Acting: Very good. I felt like crying at the end. I didn't know Nathan could writer emmotional episodes! (O wait, the triangle was good!)
Music: Very nice! Not too radio theater, not too jungle jam material. The music is the thing which shapes the episode.
If you want an well-written, heart-warming episode, do not go any further than this! His writing has improved from some of the weaker dialouge in the triangle, to some of the finest ever known for Odyssey. 4/4 stars, 5/5 stars, or 10/10 stars. If I could, it'll be more!

I missed the first part... so about Mandy looking like Jo I didn't (and still don't) get...
But the second part (at least) was very, very well done. And the part about Nathan pushing the Ohio theory is pretty funny. He is indeed a wonderful writer. |

I was listening to the second part and was thinking, "Is there going to me anymore to this then just
'Is the pact in tact?'
'The secrets safe'
(both giggle)
this doesn't seem to be much of a mystery, since we now know why Agnes was acting so strange"
Then comes the brilliant ending! Great job Nathan! While it wasn't as exciting or scary as some of the others "The Case of the Secret Room", I realize that it wasn't supposed to be that type of mystery.
I'd give The Pact 1&2 8/10 |
