Well, if what we are doing in Iraq is not "police of the world" then what's the matter?

You are right, what we are doing in Iraq does not classify as being the police of the world. As to why it matters, well I'll just appeal to you to read the whole thread. I think that is easier than trying to explain it all again.

Yes, Jared, I do agree it is not our job to police. I was just stating tha Liberating people is the right thing to do at times. God is a Liberator.

God is also The Creator of life. Cloaning's okay I guess, after all, we're just imitating God. God is the Judge of the World, I guess we should judge people that way. God is the one who decides who and when people draw their last breath, I suppose we should try to imimitate God that way too?

Do you get what I'm saying? Yes, God is a liberator, but He is also the one who puts people into captivity. How about we just let God handle the people that aren't our business. We can pray for them, and do what God prompts us to do (IE, defending ourselves and therefore replacing a corrupt government) but we just aren't given liberty to mess with God's punishments. It's dangerous and, it seems to me, a slap in the Face of God.

Gandalf: You are completely ignoring the Bible. The Old Testament ORDERS the people to stone people who do wrong. There arte ample times God ORDERED the Isrealites to go to war. There are even times when God ORDERED to kill even women and children, leave no one alive.

God OREDERED the excecution of Jezebel. God only puts those into captivity who deserve it. But more often than not., God just lets us humans work things out. Joseph didn't deserve the captivity he got. However, God did use it for His glory. But are you saying the butler shouldn't have told Pharoh about Joseph?

God liberated His people from caprtivity. No one isn't our business. Especially when they are threatening us, or the poor or weak.

If someone tries to mess with the punishment of God, God will make sure the interferrence will fair. Quite simply. Standing up against evil is our job, and God ordained us to do so. Heal the sick. Cast out deamons. let the lame walk, the deaf hear, the dumb speak. That is what we are doing, in essence.

Yes, God is the creator of all. But nowhere in the Bible does it tell us to imitate Him in the creation aspect. Cloaning is man trying to be God. That is a slap in God's face. Allowing evil to thrive while good men do nothing. That is a slap in God's face. Judging people is not something we need to make a habit of doing. But there are times we must. Seeing and pointing out the truth, however, is not judging.

Oh my goodness. I am making a big deal out of a small item! No. I am addressing the lies of the enemy (Satan, his deamons). I would be wrong to let thge lies stand.

Wake up, please.
