Xhan has disappeared, so I'm taking the liberty to announce this:
For a while now, the Odyssey Court has had a judicial vacancy. Of course, efforts to fill the position met with filibustering, angry debates, cloture votes and the occasional snore, but we now have a new judge!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE :: OFFICE OF THE MAYOR

Citizens of Odyssey, it is my distinct honor and great priveldge to announce the appointment of a new Odyssey justice. Our history is replete with tales of our wise, storied judges of old and I believe that this man, the Honorable Justice Josiah, will follow faithfully in the footsteps of those who have gone before them.
He is a man who will judge wisely and fairly, give ear to both sides of a case and reach a strong but fair verdict. He is a man of the highest repute, a man above criticism. As a judge, he will not enter cases with bias but will hear both sides equally and fairly and rule consistent with precedent and the law.
I am confident that his record will be commendable and his reputation pristine as the newest judge on the bench of the Odyssey Court. Ladies and gentlemen in Odyssey, join me in welcoming to our court the Honorable Justice Josiah!

I already have the case written up...
But you've seen a lot of what Bennett Charles has done, so you can be a key witness! Or, if you want, you can be my legal assistant and help me prepare the case.
And I'll see about getting you a political job somewhere sometime in the future... |
