| I'm definately not a genius and I don't have any connections with Focus except Nathan Hoobler and Shadowpaw choose to put on this forum. My info is partly speculation and partly just stuff that I've picked up at chats, interviews, etc. with the AIO staff. Not sure if any of the things I put up are "top secret" unless I'm right about the whole Paul McCusker/Passages/In Your Wildest Dreams thing, but if I am, I don't KNOW anything for sure. |

There are no plans to put the other shows in albums any time soon. That's not to say that they won't be in some sort of special packaging sometime, though. Like the 500 Bonus CD.
Here are the reasons why:
434: BTV: Redeeming the Season, 439: BTV: Grace -- These two include Eugene and they can't be in an album while he's gone.
435, 436: A Look Back, Parts 1 & 2 -- Like "The Adventure of the Adventure," these shows don't really have Odyssey stories. It's a show about Odyssey rather than one in Odyssey. To put it in an album would seem a disappointment to some who are look for 12 new stories.
438b: The Telltale Cat (Split) -- You were right about the cat thrown in the water being too violent.
442b: Sticks and Stones (Split) -- I believe the concern was that the "fat jokes" in the show would give bullies nationwide a whole new arsenal of insults.
444a: Career Moves (Split) -- This one was left out because there was half a show left and one of them had to go.
500: 500 -- Same reason as "A Look Back"
501: Inside the Studio -- Ditto.
502: Live at the 25 -- This one is still an option for a future album, though there are no plans right now.

Nathan,
Is there any chance of FotF or AIO offering downloads of unreleased (or even released) episodes for a fee? I'd be willing to pay about $1 per episode to download them. Cuts out the need for distributing the album and would allow us to also download the episodes that we like the most.
I know I've heard some of these before and would love to be able to have them in my collection. I remember hearing the TellTale Cat and thinking that it was a very well-done take on the TellTale Heart (even if I do have a soft spot for cats).
Let us know. This would be a great addition for Odyssey fans everywhere!
Thanks for all of your time on these forums.

These two episodes 434: BTV: Redeeming the Season, 439: BTV: Grace, could be released in a Classics album of BTV shows even if Eugene doesn't come back. At least 8 BTV shows have been produced with 1 more being made this year.
I Want My B-TV!
BTV: Envy
BTV: Compassion
BTV: Thanks
BTV: Forgiveness
BTV: Redeeming the Season
BTV: Grace
BTV: Obedience |

A BTV album is definately a good idea. "BTV: Behind the Scenes" airs in May and "BTV: Bible" is in the works.

| Is BTV: Behind the Scenes like another "Look Back", "Adventure of the Adventure", etc? or is it a behind the scenes of the AIO BTV with Bernard and stuff? |

Well okay, back to the original subject at hand. I think it would be great if AIO would release a series of albums of "unreleased" albums that would cover every single episode that wasn't included in a normal album before. They would have to do more than 12 episodes in at least two of the albums but I thing that would be great. For example, an "Unreleased" album would included all 13 regular episodes and all three split episodes that weren't included in an album.
An "Officer Harley" episode (with a parental warning of course) would include all 12 unreleased Harley episodes plus the original versions of "Promises, Promises", "The Tangled Web", and "Rumor Has It".
And lastly, a special "non-regular" album with episodes like "Look Back", "Auld Lang Syne", "Christmas Around the World", etc. Right now there are only 11 episodes that would fit into that album but if they included all that bonus material from the marathon and "best of" episodes it would be great! |
