Earadith,
If the U.N. doesn't support us in the conflict, we're not going to accept their "help" in setting up the new government. General Tommy Franks will go to Iraq and essentially be the provisional leader until a new government can be successfully set up that is democratic in its election process and safe in its policy. It may take a few years, as Hawkeye said, but the U.S. will work to make sure that the next Iraqi government won't be run by another Saddam Hussein.
We did pretty well in Afghanistan and due to the nature of this, we'll do even far better here. |
