Jonathan, I do hope you're kidding.

While America has shortfalls, as with any other country, it is better than some places on this earth. You complain that you're disgusted with some of the policies. Well, no country is perfect. Sure, Canada has some issues, but it still isn't completely awful. While I've never been outside of the United States, and barely out of my own state, I can't imagine living in another country, really. Quite frankly, I get tired of people saying this country (America) is so awful. My own relatives complain that this country practices Communism -- Yeah, right. You compare this country with past and current countries all over the globe, and I'm sure you'll realize that America has it's benefits.

If you really feel that disgusted, I encourage you to move out. Wink

(Kidding on the last part.)

we do not hate America! At leat I don't, I just don't like the polocies the only diferece with me is that I actually plan on doing something about it! I think that other countries are verry nice places, it is just the liberal media that makes it seem like they are all bad places to live with people who hate us ( America).

America - The rebellious teenager who ran away from home
Canada - The teen who stayed at home till she was old enough to be kicked out .

Whoa, lots of people are analyzing my words, and appearently I should make myself more clear.

I do not hate America. I hold a lot of respect for this country. However, the sharp turn to the left disturbs me (in both countries). What I fear for this one is 1.We are on our way to losing our rights as a church (and I know some of you will challenge this and I'm not interested in debating it) and 2.We are on our way to seeing the United States withdraw it's support of Israel. For me, that would lead to my consideration of leaving. And yes, I know Israel isn't the greatest place to live for someone who professes Jesus as my savior and risen Lord. I'm also aware that it's not immune to moral issues.

I didn't post my complete thought, so let me try this again. The direction the two countries have taken worrys me, especially since late 2003. And if it continues there might not be an advantage to being here, rather than there.

I would say that being in Israel brings up a whole bunch of other objections and issues to think over deeply, like how they treat the Arab populations surrounding them, how the governments run the country, why the country exists at all, and stuff like that.

Wow, allot of stuff said!

I live at the Port Huron, Sarnia border to Canada.
All the Canadians that I talk to while in my country are the nicest people.

If I go to there country it is another story.
They treat us Americans as if we are arrogant and more or less tell us to go back to the states and stay there.
Not all of them but some of the areas further in.
I see Canada as a Socialistic country. You can not say any things in the pupit against gays.

As an American. I think we live in the best country to this day.
We are heading right down the track of destruction. Confused

WE are a REPUBLIC! NOT a Democracy. That is where I think we 1st went wrong.
Democracy
Legalistic
Socialistic
Communism
Government has to much responsibility!
It needs to get it's little sticky fingers out of the pockets of the people.
Churches and organizations should be in control of helping people not the government.

Israel is a very Liberal country with allot of problems.
They will always be at war against the Arabs.
For they are the other half of Abraham's seed. Ishmael. His people are the Arabs. I believe this is where the Anti-christ will come out of.
But that is another topic. But lets you know why I think there is a war/tension between the countrys.

I think Canada accepts it's Englishness more then Americans ever have. In terms of immigration and citizanship they recognize that people shouldn't be forced to choose one nationality over another. Because my mum is Canadian I am a Canadian citizan and Canada recognizes both my American and Canadian citizanship. However here in the States I am American plain and simple.

Besides Canada has the one thing that most cities here in the States don't have and that's Tim Horton's and to me that's all that counts.Very Happy

I love the Duty free shop there. When my family goes to Canada we always cross at Port Huron.

Except in Quebec, where they force Frenchness down everyone's throats with draconian language laws.
