Our local paper had an article on the new movie with large color photos...the movie sounded strange. If I'd never seen the old Willy Wonka, and had never fallen hopelessly in love with Gene Wilder, then I prolly would go see it. It's most likely going to be like every other new movie that comes out: Lots of sassy characters, crude humor and all that junk. I'm not going to see it. I'll put it on hold when our library orders a copy. |

| The new movie isn't quite a re-make of the old one. They're just making a movie based on the book as though there hasn't been any other one made. I read somewhere that the only songs that will be in it will be Oompa Loompa songs (and I imagine that they will not be the same ones from the old movie) |

| I won't go see it. I have only been the the movies 3 times anyway. Very low percentage of me seeing it. I think I have seen the old one. We might have actually had it awhile ago. I don't think I would really be into the kind of movie anyway. Silly....... |

| I actually saw the beginning of the old movie a little while ago. It was better than I remembered. Wonka is good for the most part, but I don't like his some of his random quotes or the nightmare down the river scene. |

| I liked the old Wonka.. I don't really know about the new one... Johny Depp plays Willy Wonka.. I just can't imagin him playing that character... I'm used to him playing a pirate in POTC, not Will Wonks! But that's just my opinion... |
