Minnesotans are in the same boat. It's called pop, not soda.

Totally. It's just weird being called soda.

When I moved from Minnesota I got teased because I said pop instead of soda. And I pronouced the cetain words with a's in them wrong like bag, dragon wrong, etc. My mom said I used to practice in front of the mirror saying baaaaaaag over and over again trying to get it right. I never changed saying pop though----it IS pop!!! I also got teased because I said dinner instead of supper. You think they could find something worse to tease me with. Kids are so cruel.....

It's funny though, because I only have to be back in Minnesota for 5 seconds and my accent is right back.

Dr. Pepper kills his patients and laughs in the hospital hallways about it, when the nurses and geusts ask what he is laughing about he just shakes his head and they suppose he is just a happy man. Pepsi and Coke had a face off one day in the middle of a freeway (complete with the good the bad and the ugly music). Coke won cause Pepsi was too sweet and coke had a bite. Mountain Dew and Sprite? Now Sprite is like (if you can imagine) Sandra Bullock, where Mountain Dew is like some new femail actress that hasn't acted in many movies such as Angelina Jolie. I'm not even going to talk about how much better Disani is so much BETTER than Aquafina. I live in the south so I geuss I'm a coke fan. Smile
