Hello everyone, me again! :)
Lately, I have been searching around ebay, for some good prices on PSP9. I have checked several online retailers, and ebay proved to be the cheapest, at $48.00. Now, I should have known something weird was going on, when it was so cheap, and the shipping was free. But, oh no! I didn't even think about that.
Just a few minutes ago, I got an e-mail from another person, who bought from the same seller. They said, that when they recieved it, they got pirated software.
I don't really know what to do now, since I have no idea how to cancel an order on ebay. Will i get in trouble, for buying pirated software, without knowing? Will the software even work? (er, not that I'd use it, but I'm still curious! It's too risky anyway. ) Also, I'm not so sure which person to believe. The buyer or seller? This person could just be... enemies with the seller, and just trying to persuade me to not buy it. That's always a possibility, but I somehow think it's not. :P
Anyone know what I should do?

| Hmm....what a problem! I'd say, call your local police station, and ask them what you should do. They can tell you. |

On the software side, no you probably won't get in trouble. I know other people who have accidentally bought pirated software online. Will it work? Probably. That is, if the person you bought it from has the sense to include a crack/keygen, and you are familiar with the intricacies of installing pirated software. Even if the necessary data is not included, it can be obtained, and the software made to work (no I will not tell you where to get the stuff), provided you get a good burn.
Hope you can get your money back. |

Hmm, thank you. I might try that.... My brother said we should sue, but I hardly think this is a case where I could sue, and get away with it. Since I knew there were many risks of ordering items online, when I purchased it.
Thanks for your help,
