Just out of curiousity, was anyone aware that this is an Odyssey board? Or has LOTR obsession completely overtaken everyone here? Am I the only one immune to this terrible thing sweeping over the boards? |
You're not the only one, Jared!! I'm with you! I've never read or watched LotR and have NO desire to do so.

Maybe a new poll option is needed... the worst way to die is to die while being read portions of the Lord of the Rings books!
(Okay, kidding... I'm sure there are worse ways... I just can't think of any at the moment...) |

| No... I've never read any of them! I don't personally enjoy books in the fantasy genre. |

............*restrains self from commenting on people's antagonism toward LOTR*..........
However, even if you don't like fantasy or the books or whatnot--JRR Tolkein did create a masterpiece. It's absolutely amazing, he brought to life an entire world, full of beings many of us could never have dreamed up. Not only that, but he really is a good writer; good style. While I don't agree with everything they did in the movies, you have to admit that they were very well done (if you have seen them). |

Out of the choices above, I would prefer to be drowned. But if I actually had my choice, I think I would prefer to be shot. If you're just standing there, and you get shot in the heart or brains, you'd probably not even know what happened to you; so there wouldn't be any pain. Anyhow...It's not a bridge I prefer to think about untill I get ready to cross it. |

I must say that the funnest way to die is to be eaten by alligators. This way you could be like in the alligators and take down as many of them as possible. You can wrestle with these beastly animals as they rip off your arms and legs and crack your brain into a million pieces as blood fills the water...you stumach is bitten in half with you intesting floating to the top...
I mean, it's a death filled with excitement. Right? |

| Well, actually, Bennet, it isn't. Alligators actually snatch their prey and take them underwater and lodge them in the roots of a tree or something until they drown, then the alligator eats them.... Not really all that exciting. It would be like getting trapped under a huge rock under water and drowning. Booring, painful. |
