I actually just finished Every Young Mans Battle and that was a great book. I also enjoy all lotr and Narnia books. I was also hooked on the Seven Sleepers series until that eneded and I'm really big into Robert Jordans The Wheel of Time.

I read a whole lot of Christian romance fiction. My favorite authors are Lori Wick (she's soooo awesome!), Jamie Langston Turner (now, she really knows how to write!), Janette Oke, T. Davis Bunn, Michael Phillips, Judith Pella, B. J. Hoff, Penelope J. Stokes, and many more.

I also enjoy Christian life books, such as the books by Josh Harris, which have already been mentioned, and also books by Susie Shellenberger, and similar authors.

I loved Ann of Green Gables when I was younger.

Looking at your name I am very surprised that you didn't include a certain author in your top choices......

Laughing Yes, I realized I left that off later...oops.

I love the Little House books!

There...now it's on my list. Smile

I really liked the Little House books. Very Happy I read them all in the wrong order! They were still good though.

Anyone else here a fan of John Stienbeck ?

Yes...I absolutely adore Steinbeck. His writings are so full of warmth and family fun. Very Happy I've read Grapes, Mice, Tortilla Flat...to name a few. Cannery Row was my favorite...so funny! It is refreshing to find someone who likes the same books as I. *gasps to find a kindred spirit in GusDeHaan!* Yes! Yes! Yes!

Even more than Steinbeck I love Elsie Dinsmore. It's strange that no one seems to like her as we do, Laura Ingalls. She's such a sweet girl. Her stories are so strong and true. Those books are the only books that I can cry over. Other people read them and say Elsie makes them sick. *shocked to find two kindred spirits in the same topic!*

I know! I've heard people say that she's too good. (?!) I think they're great 'cause they teach Christian values.

I cry over them too! Sometimes I think to myself...why am I crying, this is only a book! But I always do! Smile
