My family received a letter from FOTF regarding the subject. I only skimmed it, so I'm not sure about this... |

Simblymene, I think you got the story mixed up so I will present the case as well as I know it.
At an inagural ball Dr. Dobson got up to speak. I believe the topic was morality or something like that and he mentioned how it wasn't right for the "We Are Family Foundation", which is sympathetic to the homosexual agenda, to use popular cartoon characters, like Spongebob and Big Bird, in a video to teach 'tolerance'.
It just so happens that a columnist for the NY Times was at the dinner, and wrote a column about how Dr. Dobson had attacked Spongbob. Within days the media had blown the story way out of porportion. It is one of the worst attacks on the Christian right I've ever seen. It is also one of the worst ways the media has ever misconstrued the facts. The reality is that Dr. Dobson wasn't attacking Spongbob or other cartoon, but was pointing out that it isn't right to use such characters in a way that could further the homosexual agenda.
In response Dr. Dobson granted one interview and explained the whole thing in his monthly newsletter (Feb. 2005).

All I know is, if Jim Henson still was alive and had controll of his company, he would NEVER allow that to happen. Too bad Disney bought him out after he died. |

| As far as I know There was nothing sexual or wronge about the video though. The main problem was that the creaters of it seemed to have a pro-gay agenda. |

First, I agree with Monday ^
Second, it is Dr. Dobson's opinion that the words 'tolerance' and 'acceptance' have become words used by the homosexual agenda to get people to accept them. That is what the video was doing, so while not sexual in nature the problem is still there. I obviously agree with Dobson.
