But ghosts might be real. Didn't King Saul call one up in the Bible?

I would not say that Saul called up a ghost, but the already departed Samuel himself. Samuel must have been separated from his natural body at this time so he would have been in the spirit form. However, some people believe that it was a demon, not actually Samuel.

While I haven't heard it, I did come across this from Jacob Isom's site:

Did Focus Lose Its Focus?

If you've been keeping up with Focus on the Family's installments of Radio Theatre, then you know that Father Gilbert Mysteries 3 is now available in stores. The episode The Play's the Thing is a harmless and entertaining piece, a large contrast to The Grey Lady, a chilling episode and questionable release. It is perhaps the most frightening drama I've heard from Focus. That says a lot. The mystery focuses on the existence of ghosts and the supernatural world, and while that isn't a problem, I wasn't pleased with the outcome of the show. Father Gilbert's conclusion, as far as I can tell, is unbiblical in nature. Personally, I think that the episode is so frightening and intense that it should not have been released by Focus on the Family, for kids or adults. I will admit that it is an on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller and does an extremely good job at keeping your attention, however I believe Focus took a big risk in releasing this drama. This may very well draw the line between where this ministry comes from and who may stand behind them in the future. Or am I just overreacting?

Note: I do not condemn listening to The Grey Lady. I just prefer to get the word out that this certainly isn't intended for children 14 and under. And don't you listen to this episode in the dark!

I remember reading that I am quite glad that they made it.
