A really good friend of mine had a stroke and is literally on his deathbed. They took his feeding tubes out a week ago and he is shrinking away to literally skin and bones. Everyday when I go to see him, he is worse. He used to get water through a little syringe, but he hs been losing the ability to swallow and would end up with water in his lungs and spasming. They now just soak little sponge "suckers" in water to give to him. I know he is going to die very soon and I think I have come to terms with that, even though it is sad. What I would like prayer for is to be strong around him. I can't stop crying when I visit him and I would like to appear stronger for him. It is just so hard to see him like this. And also prayer for him and that he isn't in pain.
