What do you think about them? I strongly disagree with them. Being a guy myself, the whole idea makes me shudder. <shudder>

Hate the sin, love the sinner.

Homosexuality is no more a sin than having sex outside of marriage. Homosexuality is a sin, and we should hate it, but that does not mean that we should treat homosexuals badly.

I agree with what Arwen said, but on the other hand I cannot tolerate the homosexual movement that is seeping into schools, politics, law, and the Church. Does this mean I'll treat such people badly? No. But it does mean I'll fight that movement.

I have about 50 pages worth of opinion to give on the topic of homosexuality.

However, later would be more convenient.

All I have to say, is that in all honestly, (and except for a few exceptions) their is no such thing as someone who'se gay. No one was created 'gay' (again, except for a few and rare exceptions). It's a perversion, and a psychological default.

To add to it, I don't know how many people have seen the CNN story about 'Abraham Lincholn being a homosexual'. Personnaly, I felt that completely upsetting and raunchy. The man was a christian, and just because he spent two years sharing a bed with a man means nothing, and especially in those days. Sharing beds was a common thing because they were expensive back then. Their was a book written too, and it has the most unthinkable arguments. It just makes my blood boil.

Someone who helped research the book broke off from the project b/c, as he said, the author was fabricating some certain facts.

Homosexuality is definetly wrong...but as said, it really is no worse than any other sexual sins (any sexuality outside of marriage, basicly). It is maddening, though, for them to try to force their beleifs on others. If they want to destory their lives and reject God and reality, then let them...but we don't have to make such beleifs socially acceptable.

Some of said that homosexuality is no different than any other sin. I agree and disagree and here's why. In the eyes of God it is no different. It seperates people from God and disobeys him.

But on the other hand, in the eyes of people, it is different, which is probably why God called it an abomination. If we as a nation (and our government) endorses it that's asking for disaster.

Just some thoughts.

I have been friends with lesbians. even had a crush on 2 lesbians before I found out. I even hugged one and told her I love her. I disagree with lifesytle, I wish there was no gays, it is an abombnation, but I will leave the judging to God. the 2 lesbians here taught nieces of God. had Bible in living room, and did do some things right. We are all sinners, and all need grace by God.

The argument you mention, regarding Lincoln and Speed sharing a bed, is probably one of the weakest made by the author in question. However, as much as one dislikes to say it, I personally think that the book's premise is probably true. Pace your comments, there's actually a lot of documentation to support the argument. Whether or not a book ought to be written on the subject is a matter of dispute, I suppose, but the author, though accused by many of stretching some facts farther than he ought to make his case more compelling, is most likely correct in his basic assumptions and is hardly the first to make them.

If the claims are true, that doesn't make Lincoln's contributions to our nation less important. If, however, it makes you a little less likely to think of him as one of the greatest men in our nation's history, perhaps that's for the better, as he comes up wanting in a variety of areas. As for the assertion that he was a Christian, we do not know that. He believed, apparently, in the existence of God, but had a very mystical, ever-changing belief. For most of his life, he was an agnostic. Whether he became Christian or deist after that may never be fully resolved. At least, not this side of glory.

Whether or not he was I believe is irrelevant for two reasons.

1. He's dead.

2. I believe the homosexual community, if it were proven true beyond doubt, would have a field day with this. They would exploit it with something along the lines of "If one of our greatest leaders was a homosexual, then there really isn't anything wrong with it? How can it be wrong now?"

I don't want to give that side any more ammo than they've already got.
