Having read the book, I researched about the movie when it came out and I would say the content is not as good as the book.

In Hangman's curse they added an unnecessary romance, some skimpy clothing (on the main character as well... she was a Christian).

I didn't like the HK movie. I thought it was really lousy as far as movies go, and especially as far as converting a book to a movie. It was terrible.

I am looking forward to see what NameSake does with their other projects.

A friend who used to work with my church now works for the Movie company. They said they needed a Teenager to play a small role, and she recommended me. So It just might happen, since I think she's in casting or something. It would be interesting! I sure hope my character would not call for me to cut my hair, though...

I understand It's not a for sure thing, but It could happen! I know friends who were in some movies, Pastor John Randall, a friend of mine, was in the Psalty The SInging SOngbook, and Colby movies.

Very cool! I still love Psalty!

Neo, I was in two local movies; westerns. James Prescott and the Legend of Parker Rose, and The Tale of Nick Rose. Actually, we are still working on post for the DVD release of the second one. I want to put a trailer online eventually. May not happen.

Most of the Christian movies I've seen make my think that we don't know the first thing about movies.

There are some that have a great story, but get butchered to fit tight budgets. Look at Left Behind and it's "sequel" Left Behind II: Tribulation Force. Evil or Very Mad Those movies have some of the best, if not the best, fictional/profetical storys backing it up, and they sent them straight to New Babylon!!!!!!!!

Take a lesson from the other side! The Blair Witch Project cost less than $100,000 from what I remember! Go to you're local library and pick out some books on digital filmaking on no budget, visit fanfilms.com and their forums, and ignore what they told you in film school, mostly.

Just talking about this makes me angry!!!!!!!

Peretti has only had one movie made. The production company is rather small, NameSake Entertianment. Not at all Hollywood.

I'm just hoping that The Visitation turns out better then Hangman's Curse. But we will see.

Ignore what they tought you in film school? Are you syaing I'm going to waste the next 3 or 4 years of my life? Wink

your comments about Christian movies are mostly correct. However, the Chronicles of Narnia are being made, and each movie has at least $100 million budget.

Thats because Narnia is being made by a big name Hollywood company, Walden Media combined with Disney... so go figure.
