Let's see...I have a couple of requests.
First, at my church, a friend of my father's got put into the hospital. I'm not sure why, but he's going to undergo surgery, and the doctors don't know whether he'll survive or not. Thankfully, he is a Christian, and he says he's not afraid to die, but I want to pray for his grandchildren, who are around eight and ten years of age.
Secondly, my homeschool band is restarting in seven days.  I'm pretty excited, but several problems have already come up. Some of the band have been gossiping about each other in their little cliques, and I pray that they stop. Is there anything I can do (besides praying) to get them to stop? Also, my little brother will be joining the band, and he'll be needing some help. |

I would also be interested in anyone's suggestions of how to help people stop gossiping. |

Gossip is a tricky sin; it is more elusive than the more explicit lying or stealing, yet sin is sin. If you're around or involved in the gossip are are convicted of it, it is best to say something right there, not worrying what others think about you. I have one friend that says, "Guys, we really shouldn't be talking about this," and it usually convicts Christians, like it should.
It is my prayer that as Christians, our words would effectively and accurately represent Christ. |

| Or you could turn it towards "good gossip" - saying kind things about others. |

Something great happened!! The man at our church...he's home now! They were able to perform surgery!! Thanks for praying, y'all!
