Something that I read recently, perhaps worthy of a short discussion:

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/06/25/news_6101443.html

Quote:
Digital Praise has already acquired the license and started development on two games based on the Adventures in Odyssey radio theater series.

EDIT: Link corrected

The link is actually:

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/06/25/news_6101443.html

I've known they were making the games for months now, but since nothing had been made official I didn't say anything. It was quite a shock to load up Gamespot (a site I frequent everyday and have a membership) and to see the article posted, in my world away from Odyssey websites. Smile In anycase, The Soda Fountain will be launching a new section devoted to the video games (which are going to be action-adventure and mystery, AND written by the Odyssey team), starting this Monday.

These video games are not like the one that was released several years back by Rhinosoft. Thankfully :)

That's cool. I hope the games have good quality and graphics. It would be awsome for this Christian group to show that they can make games up to the standards of other companies.
The AIO games look like they're inspired by eps like "The Cross of Cortez". I wonder if it will feature the voice tallents of the actors? One of the games is about Eugene's parents (who were said to have died on some sort of expidition). That would mean Will Ryan would have to come back Very Happy

Actually it doesn't Sad... at least in terms of the radio. Even if Will Ryan were to come back and do the computer games, it's a completey different situation from the radio series. An example would be the video series in which Will continued to appear even after he left the audio realm.

On the other hand, having Eugene included in the computer games IS good news in that at least we get to hear Eugene again! Whether or not he's acted by Will Ryan is a different story.

Hey, Reader Rabbit rocks! hehe
I can't imagine anybody but Will playing Eugene. He's got such a distinct voice.
But why was he appearing in videos and not the radio show?

I saw this thread just before the TH crashed.

I just hope it is good enough for me to want to get it.

If it was even half as good as Republic Commando will be, well, people would buy a PC/X-Box jut to play it.
