Wow.. I think that I have heard of Billy Gilman! He sings that snake song right? I really am not good at names, so I could very well be mistaken.

I have heard very few of his songs, but I do believe he does sing one about snakes....

And I still think pugs look like God backhanded them... Wink

They were bred by people who have quite obviously proven to the world that they do not possess the ability to get anything right...

I like them is because they are a desenants to the Shih Tzu, I showed a pug at a dog show and I got alot of money out of it and not only from the show but ,the owners to and even a tip !!!!!!and they are nice!!!! P.S. dose eney one know what a Shih Tzu looks like or what it is?

I believe that a Shi tzu is a small to mid-sized, long haired dog with a face resembling that of a persian cat. In fact, now that I think of it, they have alot in common with a persian, as far as appearance. Not that I don`t like little dogs or anything, but I have always had larger ones(dobermans being my favorite). Smile

let me give you some info on the breed!!!! and will see how much the Shih Tzu is like a Persine!!!!!!!!!! (YEALING VERY LOUD) oh and Jared before I begine with the history of Shih Tzu and in the prosses of changing coralfish107's brain back to normal fucion MY DOGS BREED IS DISTANTLY RELATED TO THE PUG YOU CORK HEAD (YEALING VERY LOUD AGEIN) Mad

In 8,000 B.C in Peking ,China the Emporer at the time the Shih Tzu was around was Machu Peachu. The Breed was the most honored breed in the China Empire and the Chinies royals and Designing the breed as one of the mostesteemed animals in China became of its association with Buddhism the Shih Tzu the companion of Budda . If you did not have premition by the royals to hold the dog you would be killed.There name means Lion ,Holy ,and Chrysanthemum . They were bred with the Pekinies and the Lhassa Apso at one point the pug.They were bred as a Companion dog and were a symbol of political power and great wealth. When the Imperial dog book was being made they would bring in 50 Shih Tzus at a time, and the one who had all of the standerds of the breed (a white blaze on its head, a white tip at the tail, a sattle look on the right side of the chest ,and they had to be 9-10.5 inch. tall, and 8-13 lb. )that dog would be put in the book and would be the most prized Shih Tzu . The Shih Tzu has been found in chinies tome paintings, paintings, status of them in front of buildings they were a symoble of good luck and the status are still used on modern chinies buildings. In 1908 when the British looted the Imperial Palace the ruler at the time was the Dowager Empress Cixi that was the day the royals died ,most of the dogs were lost,and the breed suffered a great setback.The rest were taken to England. It was the very first time the breed left China but, they did become very popular in England and were saved from exsticion and they were shiped all over Europe. After World War 2 the Shih Tzu was taken to America by U.S Generals and Military Officers.Before the breed was reconized in the AKC it was a becoming very Popular, In 1969 the AKC reconized the breed and won its very first American dog show at the Westminster dog show, and now its rated the 10Th most popular breed in the U.S. and they are known as ladys’s best friend. The anstory of the Shih Tzu realy shines in this breed there bauty ,ellagence , there loyalty , friendly personality,there dedication to there oweners, there loving nature and there bauty. Its like there breed never changed over the past 9970 thosand years.

Also, while I guess there are a few old earth creationists here, most of us would agree that the earth is only 5,000 - 7,000 years old. Your number for the Shih Tzus puts their beginning at 10,000 years ago. Now, add the fact that they have been bred with lots of other dogs in order to come up with that distinctive (and ugly) breed... and at that point, dogs were more bred for a purpose and, admit it, Shih Tzus don't have a work-related purpose, so their breeding would have been slow... besides which, this would have to be post-flood, so add another 1,300 years or thereabouts to the calendar. And I'd say that with everything going on post-flood, breeding of dogs at all, let alone breeding for no reason but as a pet, wasn't a big issue. Besides, China was a fair distance from where Noah and his family got off the ark and people weren't known to travel fast in those days. From what I hear, jets were going at steep rates and taxis had high prices and questionable meters or something... ( Smile

) Anyways, it would have taken up to perhaps 500 years before anyone had even settled in China, let alone had set up a governing force over the entire region.

Sorry for the rant, but conservatively, the breed history you provided means that creation was at least maybe 13,000 years ago -- and few of us will agree with that.
