I love the Monkey Island games myself Number two was my favorite, though all 4 are great. It's also awesome that so many AIO actors have been with it. Such as Earl Boen (Blackgaard) as LeChuck, as well as Alan Young, Dave Madden, Jess Harnell, and 3 or 4 others who played small parts on Odyssey. It's pretty cool.

| we found the first game in a PC gamer disk of classic games. After the awful time we were having with the primitive King's Quest 1 (also in the disk) Monkey Island seemed like heaven, with its "amazing' graphics and halarious story. We've got all four games. I can't wait until we can show you guys our movie. It should be ready any day now. |

The "King's Quest" games are also my favorites. "King's Quest I" was the first computer game I ever played, so it will always have a special place in my heart. I absolutey love "Kings Quest V" and VI the most though, absolutey terrific games. I even beta tested "Kings Quest VIII: Mask of Eternity" for a year, which was pretty cool. I had wanted to make a website based on King's Quest and emailed Sierra. Two or three months later they emailed me back and said they would like to have me as a beta tester, so I joined 15 other people and tested the game for over a year... my name is even in the manuel! Fans and critics didn't like the game very much, though I loved it... at the time. I went back to try and play it recently and it just didn't have the same magic I experienced while testing it. But the "Kings Quest" series, actually all quest series ("Space Quest", "Police Quest", "Quest for Glory)" I love. The "Police Quest" series probably the most of all.
All of those were from Sierra while "Monkey Island" was from Lucasarts, who also made great adventure games. "Maniac Mansion", "Day of the Tentacle", and "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis" are also great games with Indy being my favorite. However, the charm and wit of the Monkey Island games has never been matched.
I'm still a big adventure game fan (it's still my favorite genre) but they are few and far between now. The last great one I played was "The Longest Journey" which is absolutely terrific and definitely in my top 3 of favorite games of all time.
Anyway, this isn't a thread about adventure gaming... this is about Monkey Island. So yes, I love the Monkey Island games a lot ;)

We just played that a little while ago. It was good but really really hard.
Edit:
Here's the movie! We've got it in three different formats for all your different internet speeds.
As I said before, this takes place between MI1 and MI2. The sequal to this movie (and there is a small chance that it will never be made) explaines a few mysteries from MI2 such as why Elaine is mad at Guybrush, why Guybrush is looking for Big Woop, and where Timmy the Monkey came from. Another note is that we haven't really tried to copy the voice-acting in MI3 and MI4 (except for Elaine).
We hope you enjoy it!
DivX format(High quality, 14.3 mb)
Real Media format (high quality 8.4 mb)
Real Media Format (low quality, small res 1.6 mb |

I own all of the Kings Quest games except VIII. I even have retail promotional copies of VII.
Space Quest I rocks! I need to go play it again to once more win the golden mop. |

Sorry, I forgot to reply in this thread about the video. It was great I love the lego movies... and this was hilarious. :)
I was wondering when I first saw that other video with the museum... was that skull that bounced around a homage to Murray? It reminded me of him when I first saw it, but I didn't know if you guys knew of Monkey Island. Now that I know you do, and even made a lego video about it, I wonder if maybe you did it on purpose :)

| Yes, that was Murray. In fact this movie (made by Mellow right after I finished Museum), is a tribute to him |
