Even in the early days me and EK were locked in eternal mortal combat.
Even though I can't help but go hard on him in RPG's and fan fiction, In reality I think EK is quite a good chap.

The latest installment of comic brilliance by our in house avid comic Eugene Blackgaard is one of most excellence. It combines a certain amount of familier humour, with an emotion driven conclusion that leaves the participant, for that is what we truly are in this saga, gripping for more.
The storyline is far from anti-climatic. The flashbacks to the historical era are increadible, the use of dark colours , cool colours, and wonderful placement of word bubbles are obviously all in the plan to charge the experiance with a rapport that is not to be forgotten.
The characters of Dax Xhan and Titan King are amazing, they are precisly what they look like in real life. Xhan truly does carry a staff when he goes off on intergalactic missions. If this weren't first and foremost a comedy I would have to rate it as a comedy documetary , perhaps Blackgaard has done the first .
The phrases such as "Wak Wak Wak", and the "z z z" trail are most excellent. It reminds me of such classic strips such as Herman, Calvin and hobbes, and Peanuts.
The ending which is completely twisted from what any reader could guess is quite well done. It almost has a political satire element to it, not expected this early in E. B.'s carreer.
All told I give this one two thumbs up, and would encourage members to have a second look at it.

EB is notorious for not living up to his promises - I wouldn't get too excited until he actually posts the comic.
(I apologize for the negative comments, EB, but you're so fun to insult, especially since it's kind of true this time). |
