Did you know Melissa Gilbert (laura) wore braces on the back of her teeth ?? you mention her dental work and wanted to share that.
This was great show. mostly good clean family show. except when they killed alice and baby in a horrible fire or some tragedies. I love books too.
I wish the shows had been more accurate, Michael L added boys for a boy audience. |

I did not know about the braces. Caroline Ingalls had a baby boy that she named Charles Ingalls Jr. The baby Charles died in the episode called "The Lord Is My Shepard. The real Caroline Ingalls did give birth to a son, his full name was Charles Frederick Ingalls. He was born November 1, 1875 and died July 10, 1876. On May 23, 1877 the real Caroline Ingalls gave birth to her last child whom they named Grace Pearl. This was also portrayed on the show in the episode titled "A Most Precious Gift."

| Yes, the title of that episode is "May We Make Them Proud." It just happens to be one of my favorites. The real Mary Ingalls never married, although she was blind. |

| I know, I was replying to Ferder and James M's posts. I was referring to the episode that they were talking about. |

| I prefer the later seasons mainly because Mrs. Oleson provides some much needed comic relief to an otherwise way too serious show. |
