As I was getting dressed and ready the other day I was watching "Saved by the Bell".......they made a big blooper.

The history class was going over the constitution and the teacher asked what the 5th Amendment is.......one of the kids said "Thou shalt not kill"....the teacher told him that was the 5th Commandment.........but actually it's the 6th....the 5th being "honor thy father and mother that thy days may be long upon the earth that the LORD thy God giveth thee."

Anyone else ever note odd bloopers like that in TV/movies?

Peace Out

Unless the writer was a Catholic. The second commandment, concerning graven images, is mysteriously absent from the Catholic Bible. (One of those "mysteries of the faith," I imagine.) Therefore, the number system is off and "Thou shalt not kill" is indeed number five.

They get to ten by splitting the final commandment into two, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife" and "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods."

Random, off-topic comment: So that's why Catholics have an easier time accepting the alleged Second Commandment-violations of The Passion of the Christ than Protestants do...

It also really helps back up all the statues, icons, medals and other relics.

Yes! In the Two Towers, as Eomer is about to ride away from Aragorn Legolas and Gimli, I think I saw his sword fall out of its scabbard. However, no one else I've talked to has noticed this, so I may just be seeing things.

I don't see that many Protestants having a hard time accepting them either! Does FOTF give their full support to this film?

Wrong thread!! Sorry!

Actually, I just looked it up and the 2nd Commandment is not missing from the Catholic Bible (they just number the Ten Commandments differently). They do change the term "image" to "idols," though.

Dr. James Dobson and all of Focus on the Family heavily endorsed the movie... even brining Mel Gibson on to his show to talk about it.
