To All Town Hall Posters,
On behalf of all the moderators, Xhan and myself, I would like to extend apologies for the temporary absence of the Town Hall. I have received many emails, IMs and PMs over the last few days concerning its loss, so I know that many of you were horrified to log on and discover everything to be gone.
Happily, thanks to the magnificent work of Tim Peterson, who restored some damaged mySQL table with deft skill by completing a process that none of us will ever understand -- call it internet alchemy, if you will, the process of turning base code into a TH remold -- the boards are back, with only minor damage. We lost posts from several days prior to the mishap, posts we are almost certainly not going to be able to restore, but that pales in comparison to what was previously deemed to be the possible loss of more than 46,000 posts and all user registrations.

Yay! Thanks, Jared, and Tim Peterson for your work! I felt kinda lost without the TH!  And the substitute TH didn't work for me. 
But, I am very glad to be back here!        |

Okay, not really, but I was beginning to show signs of withdrawal... typing the http://townha... and then realizing it wasn't there.
Kudos to the guys who got it back and running again!! |
