It never materialized.... In fact...

It never raised.

It was a half-baked idea, perhaps.

We just tossed the breadcrumbs out there and let them fall where they may.

But that's the way the cookie crumbles, isn't it?

And even though you may be mad that there's no new war on food, you can't cry over spilled milk.

If you grilled us on this issue, there's not much we could say.

If we started a new war on food, we'd always be trying to ketchup to the originality of the first.

So, doing so would be a pea-sized idea.

Therefore, the leaders of the former war movement are like two peas in a pod in opposing a new war on food -- for now.

And while we know this is like sour grapes to many of you, we ask you to understand.
