EEEW!! That's nasty! And, IMHO, so is ketchup. Although I can't say I enjoy watching people eat it, I'd have to agree with Mandy Straussberg on this issue.Red is the best. |

I get the feeling that I will never have or even want the chance to try any other color besides red. If I went to a party or something, most likely they would purchase the red because people all know what it is and how un-life-threatening it is. Another color may cause someone to wonder what they're about to eat and stray away from eating it. I would.
Besides, red is a pretty color. People like to eat red. |

you know once my dad put green food colouring in a loaf of bread he made. it tastes exactly the same, but who wants to eat green bread? it was sick!!! I thought it tasted a little rancid, and like sawdust, and it was ust terrible, even though it was fine. simiarily green ketchup reminds me of what happens when you put spinach through a blender. and then add toothpaste to make it a little thicker. who wants to put THAT on a hot dog???
one thing that would be worse, though, is if they made mustard any other colour. purple mustard...ewwwwww...or RED MUSTARD now THAT would be confusing!!! red mustard and yellow ketchup. that would be way too wrong. see they should just stick with normal colours.

Ketchup on rice with butter and parmesan cheese made to look like a pizza is really good. |

If they did make clear ketchup, not only would it not stain clothing, you could apply it to your lutefisk!(the clear fish).
Personally I prefer the red variety.... |
