All I can really say is that I am in a state of disbelief.....okay, maybe shock. What's up with all this? I didn't read all the above posts VERY carefully, but from what I've gathered, everybody thinks that the mayoral elections have become too competitive. Am I right?

If yes... I'm inclined to agree. I'll admit, it HAS been fun (give some spirit to this part of the board, or at least, something interesting to do.) I've enjoyed reading the debates/speeches and campaigning. However, sadly enough, it has been a devider. I've even seen it in my family, in siblings trying to convince others to vote for their choice... Rolling Eyes

But right now, I'd just like to say that even if these elections would still continue, I would support either Jared, Hawkeye, or another who recieved the "position". It's not a HUGE deal, and it won't come between me and my 'internet friendships'.

Jared, I do commend you on the stand you have taken.

I personally think that it's time to just totally delete "The Town of Odyssey". Does anyone else agree with this drastic idea? I ignore that section because it is so stupid in nature. Whenever I did go in there to read stuff, I couldn't stand how boring a read it is and left, usually after two topics. Who wants to end that section?

Let's get rid of it.
But I want Jared to keep the "Mayor Jared" name. I want CoralFish and Josiah to keep their "Town Judges." and me to keep my "Town Villain." so that we can have a trace leftover of all of this...

Ok, maybe it's just me, but what exactly does the mayor of Odyssey do? Does the position apply just to the Town of Odyssey (in which case it's not that big of a deal), or does it spread over the rest of the forum (in which case it is a big deal and I, too, would be in a state of shock)? Does this affect the Town Hall Portal? What does this mean?

If my ignorance is unbearable, help me out anyway.

I personally think that we should have no mayor or sherriff and maybe close TOF.

While I personally dont wish for this to be immediately deleted, I do think the idea is rather dead. There are a few things in here that are worth keeping, like a few stories...

I do think it would be nice ot replace this with something else, however, at the moment, I personally cannot think of much. Debates and stories are done in offtopic, and a rubber room would also fall in there nicely... So, in my mind, the question arises, what exactly do we replace it with, or do we just drop it and have 2 boards for general posting?
