|
The mayoral election will be held over the two day span of July 15th and 16th. However, if you will for whatever reason not be around for those two days, you can submit an "absentee ballot" by posting here with your choice of candidate.
IF you choose to cast an absentee ballot, your Town Hall account will be inactivated during the election period of July 15-16. You will not lose any posts, private messages or anything else, but you will not be able to use the account during that period. This is in order to keep one from casting a vote here by absentee ballot and then proceeding to cast a second vote the traditional way.
Only cast an absentee ballot if you will NOT be here to vote on July 15th and 16th. To cast such a ballot, you simply need to post here specifying which candidate you support. It will be assumed that if you post that here, you are casting an absentee ballot.
All you have to say is the candidate's name. A good example: "Jared Walczak." Because we all know that you don't really want to cast a ballot for anyone else -- right?
Okay, forget that partisan attack and cast your ballot, if applicable.
For the rest of you who will be here on those days, ignore this. If you believe that you will be gone on the 15th and 16th, cast an absentee ballot then find that you will be around on those days and don't want to not have access to your account for that period, simply contact me by email ( jaredw86@nauticom.net ) and I will reinstate your count. (This will invalidate your absentee ballot vote, but you would then be free to vote in the normal manner.)
So, those who have the audacity to not plan on being here for the election (kidding!), cast your ballots now!

| Mellow, this isn't really a campaign thread. I'd prefer if it were left to simply absentee balloting. If you want to convince someone to vote for your brother, fine, but do it elsewhere, please. |

I don't mind some electioneering. I've done plenty of it myself. I simply mean that this thread really isn't the place for it, as it should be simply where absentee ballots are cast. However, I think that has backfired, as it is now filled with back and forth posts between you and I over that issue. |
