|
i see many people saying Jared shouldn't be mayor because he has already has his turn....and now it is somebody else's
but i never see anyone saying that hawkeye is sherrif and why should he get to be both.
i think that hawkeye would be a good mayor...but he is pretty much doing what everybody wants him to do in the job he is at.
why not let hawkeye be sherrif.....and jared be mayor? |

Why not let him have a shot at mayor and re-elect a new sherriff? |

I'm still trying to figure out what the sheriff has to do. Mayor has a pretty clear job discription, but sheriff (to me) is just a title. |

For Hawkeye especially. Since his election, he has done exactly...
[thinking]
[still thinking]
Uh, nothing.
Now, let's examine Hawkeye's explanations of what the sheriff would be expected to do:
"...the sheriff will be in charge of arresting the villian, like BC and the aliens, he/she will be the town hero, on the small scale."
"...he/she can use technology to catch criminals."
Now, Hawkeye, tell me. Seriously: have you caught any criminals lately, with or without the use of some mysterious technology? Also, if you have been a town hero on a small scale, please let me know. I hadn't noticed.
Next, let's examine his campaign promises:
"As sherrif, I will keep a close eye on Rose, the Axe Murderer...."
"I will enforce justice and the judge's judgement, and bring lawbreakers to the judges."
Once again, Hawkeye, enlighten me. Have you actually been keeping a close eye on Rose, the Axe Murderer? And when exactly did you bring lawbreakers to the judges and/or enforce justice?
And to end this, let's look at a quote where Hawkeye describes himself:
"Im ... psycotic, yes, neurotic, yes ... unintimidates, yes ..."
I ask the people: Do we want a self-described psychotic and neurotic person as mayor of this town? And worst of all, he's "unintimidates." Whatever that means.
A fun little exercise: run the Hawkeye quotes through your word processor and notice how many times the little red squiggly line appears. Six spelling errors in about seventy words. Shocking, is it not? |

| What is all this talk about Sheriff? That was old. I thought we were into mayoral elections now. |

Hey, I've noticed quite a few spelling errors in your posts, recently.

As it was pointed out elsewhere, you promised justice, and yet dropped the Bennett Charles case. You either let a horrible criminal get away, or you left Bennett's name tarnished without giving us a chance to clear him.

In all seriousness, Jared, I can read other stuff you say and laugh at the humor, but this is a low blow. It is totally uncalled for (and don't try to critisize me by saying I ended my sentence with a preposition).
VOTE HAWKEYE FOR MAYOR! |

Martin and Ferder, please re-read. No, I'm not running for sheriff.
Josiah: the Bennett Charles case was dropped, but only after the issue was resolved and the townspeople were safe. And as to the spelling errors thing... a low blow? I really don't think so. I doubt too many people will take it seriously. As Jeremy pointed out, I've made my share of them as well. Just a little enjoyable mudslinging.
(And Hawkeye is free to go find all my spelling mistakes and put them together in one long post, if he so chooses!) |
