Per the imperative and irrefutable solicitation of an overwhelming superiority of the citizens of this Humble Town of Odyssey, not to mention the entire online community at large, I, Arthur Dent, a.k.a. Trippyshoe, a.k.a. Dawey, a.k.a. Compudragon, a.k.a. about literally a dozen other things, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States of America, and now for the past six or so years of Illinois, United States of America, announce and asseverate myself Dictator of the Humble Town of Odyssey, and do by virtue of this decree request and/or demand the Town Elders of the Humble Town of Odyssey to relinquish any and all authority they currently possess and grant all jurisdiction regarding the Humble Town of Odyssey to myself, allowing me to alter the town, its laws, this Town Hall, and any other affiliates in order to reform, emend, and/or improve the state of our great Humble Town of Odyssey, thus increasing our enjoyment of our Humble Town of Odyssey's admirable faculties, no longer under and adhering to the pernicious, malevolent, and tyrannical administration of the blessed Honorable Mayor Jared Walczak.

Amendments to the current law, or a complete rewrite thereof, and penalties for incompliance to come soon.

Good evening. Tonight I would like to take a few minutes to address a most grievous situation arising from the brutal schemings of one from our midst. A member of our community given to lashing out against things decent and honorable has tonight given us a terrifying glimpse at his insidious plots.

Mr. Arthur Dent, who, I am told, has suffered great mental trauma, has proclaimed himself dictator over this region. We are a peaceful people, loathe to violence and war. But as a people who love the peace we now enjoy, we must rise up to defend it and, if need be, give up our lives that liberty may live on.

While defenders of liberty still have breath, there shall be no tyrant over us. While we still have being, no autocrat shall exercise power over us. We come to a fork in the road, but there is but one choice before us: liberty at any cost. Freedom though the price may be so dear. For there is no price too great to pay for liberty, no obstacle too daunting, no challenge too great, when the prize that lies before us is freedom.

Freedom from terror, from oppression.

Freedom. Never forget what it means. Never forget how much it matters.

The dictator will be stopped. Evil shall not triumph nor will any evildoer be victorious over us. We will not allow despotic rule no matter how it may be introduced. Power shall not be handed over. And we, the people of Odyssey, shall not and must not cede authority democratically to one who so despises the very principles of democracy.

No modern-day Reichstag fire can sway us; no attack deter us. We shall fight. And let us be clear: we may not know how long the fight will last or what its costs may be, but one thing remains certain: we will prevail!
