Who wants Coralfish to run for Mayor?
I need some good competition, and someone at least needs to pull votes away from Jared.
But how many of you think Coralfish should run for (and might make it to and would make a good) mayor? |

| I'm confused to what I should say- for the reasons you listed, she should run for mayor, but then again, that's a lot of competition. |

That would be competition all right. I certainly wouldn't mind having Coralfish run for mayor, although her running probably won't change my vote. If she is elected however, I wouldn't doubt that she would be a good mayor. |

Um, that political strategy doesn't sound very good. I assume that the winner is simply the person who gets the most votes and that they aren't required to get at least 50% of the vote. If the former is true, then adding more candidates would only make this like the '92 presidential election. If the latter were the case, then it might be helpful if Coralfish can draw votes that otherwise would have gone to Jared. Thus, if he fails to get 50%, he would be forced to have a runoff with whomever had the second most votes.

I'm sure Coralfish would make a good mayor (seriously), but my vote is already going to someone else.

Well, coralfish was my campaign manager the last time around and I hope that she'll stay around in some such position in my reelection campaign, although I do think she would make a good mayor. A very good one.
Hawkeye's strategy isn't half bad. You hit on it exactly, Josiah. Since coralfish and he are almost complete opposites (at least in portrayal during the last election), he would be unlikely to lose votes to coralfish, although I would.
This is sort of like if Clinton had, being in a generous mood or something, encouraged Ross Perot to run. Clinton would have had nothing to worry about, knowing that Perot's votes would come from those who would otherwise vote for Bush. Perfect example? Well, it's not bad, but mainly, it was just fun to compare Hawkeye to Clinton.
So, Josiah, who has your support? |

Haha! Like I'm going to post that publicly!
It's safe to say that I plan to vote exactly the way I did last time.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Hawkeye, but I am probably no suited to be mayor. Nor od I really think that I would make a good one. Although some may disagree, the job requires experience, popularity, and a knowledge of web boards and politics.
Thanks Jared, but I really do not think you would loose votes if I ran, as I would not not expect to recieve any. Thanks everyone, but no thanks. No use in cluttering up the ballot. |

| Actually, I would probably vote for you. You HAVE to run. It would add a whole new element, it wouldn't just be Jared and Hawkeye fighting. That gets old. And it would be especially interesting if you won. Please? Come on, people. Tell her she should run. |

many disagree with you. And still no need to know anything about webboards, politics, no need for experience, or popularity. Still. I have already told you all this.

3 people a clutter? Not.
Jared: Gee, thanks for the comparison... I feel, so, loved. |

Actually, it was after Jared saw your picture that he thought that.
