*sigh* I have writers block. Horrable horrable thing, that writers block. Unfortuntly, I'm fully aware of it's cause. *sigh* I can admit it...I'm obsessed, and not with AIO. *ducks objects that fly at her*
33 eposodes of MacGyver up in my bedroom have done strange things to my brain. Not to mention two virtual seasons worth of fanfiction. But anyway...it's occured to me once or twice that a crossover between MacGyver and AIO is realitvily natural. (See? my enjoyment of Odyssey is still there...just a little muffled) Anyway...I've done some brainstorming, and I found a few basic roots to start such a crossover.
1. MacGyver met Jerry in Vietnam. Mac was part of a bomb disposal unit. Jerry helped him out once when the building he was in had a bombthreat.
2. During a breif collaberation between DSX and the NSA, Mac and Jason worked together to put away a major leader of the criminal underground...one known for getting retrobution.
3. Said criminal has recently escaped. Mac is asked by DSX to return just long enough to warn Jason and protect him until the threat blows over.
4. Eugene and Katrena are, tempoarlly, in the earlier stages of DSX's witness protection program. Living in a safehouse at the moment...Mac has, since his retirement, been working off-and-on with DSX, and was directly responsable to checking the safty and sucurity of their safehouse.
5. A conflict-filled Romance between MacGyver's son, Sam Malloy, and Connie Kendall. (issues include: she's a chirstian and he's not, he travels and risks his life reguarlly...ect. translation, it's not gonna work out)
Well? What would you think if I started on such a crossover and returned to finish my previous story afterwards? Responce? thoughts on my plotline bases? Generally opinion of MacGyver visiting Odyssey?
*waits patiently*
*explodes*
I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!! JUST REPLY ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| I don't care what you have to do so long as the other one gets finished. Do whatever it takes. |

Alright...I'll get to work on the crossover.
Another question...
Will telling the story, starting from two points, be confusing to anyone? Like...I start it somewhere near the middle...then go back and tell from the begining...but COINTINUE from the middle as well? like flashbacks...only...not...and...*sigh* A friend of mine reads stuff written like that all the time, and I'm concidering giving it a go for this 'cause I've kinda started developing the story from two distinct points that I'm not 100% sure how they connect. The beginning....and a random scene somewhere near the middle...
Anyway, I better get to typing before my OTHER fanfiction idea flys away... |

| You are a good writer. I'm sure that however you do it will make sense. |

I'd say go for it!
I personally like the 1st, 2nd, and 4th options best. |
