it was because my dad was telling me "you should be using all that time you spend on the computer to find out stuff on how to make money."
and I said "but all I'm good at finding out is useless information. did you know that there's going to be a remake of the Pink Panther staring Steven Martin?"
and he said that there was a market for useless info.
I don't think I'll be making any money of the site I'm starting with, but if it becomes popular i may think about buying a website. then I'll try to get money off the advertising on it

Or you could have people JOIN (for a certain amount of money) and they get more news and better details Wink

Just a thought for the future.

You need to have a marketable product before people will pay to join. I'm not at all implying that Ferder's idea is poor; I'm simply saying that I don't think any of us could launch a site and immediately make it pay-to-access; none of us has the credentials or name recognition to make that work immediately.

People want to know when they sign up for something that they're really going to get what they paid for, that they can't get it free elsewhere (or at least, it would be hard to get all of it together like that), that the service will continue apace, etc., etc. It's possible that a site one of us makes will someday sell subscription service. But you don't start out that way.

Well I meant "For the Future" not immediately.

But thanks for your post Jared.
