| Still having difficulty emotionally with Jack Allen's callous insistance that Jason was obviously not one, he embarks on his life's mission: to become a kumquat. And, apparently, get eaten. (What else would you do with a kumquat?) I imagine a humanitarian would eat him, don't you? It's fitting... if vegetarians eat vegetables, after all, then what must a humanitarian eat? |

| Whit blows the whistle on corruption in the ice cream industry and, under the Witness (Whitness?) Protection Program, is whisked off to "Down Gilead Lane" under the assumed name "Scooter." He is recognized there by John Campbell, feigns insanity by letting saliva run down his chin and making marks on Uncle Charlie, and spends several episodes as a fugitive on "Unshackled." Following numerous rerun episodes aired to give the writers time to come up with a plausible resolution of the complex story arc, he returns in triumph to Odyssey, where, after Mitch mysteriously disappears, Whit marries Connie and devotes his sunset years to driving monster trucks, raising orchids, and working on a cure for split episodes. |
