Well... I hate to admit it, but Regis Backgaard is a REALLY cool villain!! I mean, Mr. Charles is being controled by another person. Dr. Backgaard controls others and the people of Odyssey don't even know HE'S really the guy who's trying to get people to vote Tom out of office. Pretty cool villain! 8) I still don't like him though. I dislike him even more when he comes back in "Blackgaard's Revenge"! |

I hate Mr. Charles more, but Blackgaard seems eviller.
Blackgaard is... I don't know, more interesting, perhaps? |

Blackgaard all the way for 2 reasons:
Charles was a cronie; the chairman is the man...
and
He was too evil sounding at times
Ok, that might not make sense, cause regis definitely sounded evil, BUT earl boen always brought a kind of charisma to the role that was positively delicious....
I definitely look forward to hearing more from the chairman...
oh yeah, one more thing...while it's been a loooong time since I heard A Name, Not a Number (*sniffle, I can't find my tape anywhere!!!!) my impression of name not a number versus novacom, is that the novacom arc, if nothing else, felt more real and down to earth than did a name not a number...so yeah, technically novacom is probably more sci-fi, it seemed less to me...(yeah, that's weird I know)
I dont' know, but gee whiz, all the time now I'm seeing stuff around: "new radio brain stem therapy" and other such freakiness...
It wouldn't surprise me at all...
but you know what's really interesting? the Aio team did blackgaard shows with terrorism as a central theme for years before all of that became a real possibility here in our country...and now in light of the current climate they probably won't go down that road again any time soon, BUT let's just hope they don't turn out to be prophetic again...
