Yes, it was rather bizzare to vote for one person and vote opposite of what the candidate stood for, but the votes for the PERSON and the votes for the ToO were counted seperately and did not really conflict with one another. At least, it didn't change the result any.
I would like to congratulate Arthur Dent on his victory, and hope that ToO will soon be on its way... |

Okay. Here is my proposal in more detail:
Worldview and Debate
This will be a forum that will, basically, include the following:
- News and current events
- Politics
- Theology
- Apologetics
(and other related topics)
It would be best to keep this forum serious, probably the most serious out of all of the forums. Threads not relevant to Worldview and Debate will be moved to the Off-Topic forum, where Top can do with them as he wishes.  The moderators will decide which topics get moved. Proposed moderators: Jared (although you're an admin...), Coralfish, and Arthur Dent

On the contrary, I cannot forsee any realistic reason for it to wither away. True, it won't have nearly the amount of posts that, say, Offtopic, gets, but the point is serious, detailed discussion, so I wouldn't expect rapid-fire posts like that.
And news, opinion, politics, economics, religion -- those are things that have been debated for millenia and never been settled or entirely covered. There is no reason to think that they'll suddenly grow old and stale now. |

Aha... that's great, But I'm not a brainiac so I'm not too good at Politics and stuff.. But I'll just sit quietly in a corner and read those huge speeches Jared makes. ...If I ever make it through. CONGRATS! |
