|
After seeing that title, I know most rapidly ignored this thread. For those of you who ventured this far, I strongly encourage you to read this speech Rep. DeLay delivered to the Knesset (Israel's ruling body) today. It's well worth your time.

Good article.
I imagine at least a few here had time this morning to listen to President Bush's press conference at the White House gardens this morning?
And while I did not hear the entire length of it, the theme here still remained similar. To take an exerpt from the article:
| Quote: | And so shall it be until the last terrorist on earth is in a cell or a cemetery.
The United States does not seek conflict. |
Very similar to what the President mentioned in his replies this morning.
| Quote: | | This war we fight — this war on terror the United States shares with free nations, like Israel, around the world — we fight for this reason: to establish and secure a community of nations safe to be free, and free to be prosperous. |
Once again, very similar to the Presidents comments...
| Quote: | Good must stand up to evil. We must stand up to terrorism.
There is no middle ground or moral equivalence; no "moderate" position worth taking.
Appeasement is not an option! |
Very well said....now if only some could finally come to understand this.
| Quote: | | Free men will never succumb to the ease or expedience of The Lie because we will never forget that when fighting evil, determination is destiny. |
A powerful statement there, and the United States has the determination under our current leadership. May God continue to bless the determination of those fighting for our freedom.
I have not the time right now to furthur comment on the article, but did find it most interesting, considering the recent press conference and all.
Perhaps this topic could be an update for the Politics thread, no? |

Oh, just for the record, this was a speech given, not an article. (Which explains the short, one sentence paragraphs. That sounds good in a speech, making for strong emphasis, but it seems out of place - and grammatically wrong - in an article.)
It's simply reprinted on National Review's site...
The Democrats hate DeLay, calling him all sorts of names and acting as if he is rabid. (Actually, that is kind compared to some things they say about him.) This type of speech only reinforces my belief that they're insane.
Remember, slow and steady wins the race. Gridlock can be good. In otherwords, we need more DeLay and less Dasch(le).
(REALLY poor joke, I know.) |
