Let's be realistic. How many US presidents made campaign promises and not fulfilled them? Take George W. Bush Sr. for example. Did he make the tax cuts he promised? No.

And basically what you're saying is "Just make campaign promises so you'll be elected."

There actually is no former President George W. Bush, Sr. Our 41st president was named George Herbert Walker Bush, the son George Walker Bush. No Sr. and Jr.s because of the slight difference (the dropping of one middle name.)
