does anyone feel that the new episodes are different? Not all of them, but some of them have a different feel, not Odysseyish enough.

i kinda know whattcha mean.. like, they have different kinds of plots than they used to. & lots of people are doing Paul Herlingers ( when a new actor does an old character ) like Katrina, and all than stuff about Eugene's memory, that would never have happened back when it started!!

Depends on what you mean. Personally, I don't think the show ever fully recovered to it's former glory after the 99-00 season. I still like the show, but things have changed. It's easier to remember Odyssey isn't a real town with these newer eps.

Two friends and a truck seemed to get back to the 'classic' odyssey.

I agree. Of course, I posted that^ before I heard the episode.

The new episodes are different to me because of the music, and a few changes in dialogue.

EDIT: And new characters, of course. Smile

yes, well that's to be expected when a show runs for like 18 years.

I think it really has to do with the acting. In older episodes, the actors were more themselves, and put a lot of effort into their lines. In doing so, they sounded natural and believable. The new shows are good too, but some of the acting sounds forced. The new music is awesome though Cool ; a real step up from older episodes!
