I thought the 97-98 season of AIO, right after the hiatus, was pretty good, though the show was obviously trying to find its footing after a long break. The 98-99 season was really good. The 99-00 season was for the most part terrible, though it did have a few good episodes.
I thought the 00-01 and the 01-02 seasons were awesome-- they had a lot of good slice of life episodes, and some of the most exciting episodes since "Darkness Before Dawn."
The 02--03 season is much better in retrospect. When it was airing I thought it wasn't that great, probably because I was so use to Novacom. But looking back, it really had a lot of good episodes, although I was wishing Connie and Mitch (a couple who I use to think was interesting) would just decide what to do with their relationship. "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow?" was a really good episode, though.
The 03-04 season was, for the most part, equal to the previous season. While the Connie/Joanne trip didn't really fufill my expectations, I was pleasently surprised by "Something Blue" (Part two, at least.) It really matured Connie's character, even beyond what she was before Mitch came to town. And Mitch left. While I was really glad he wasn't really dead during the Novacom saga, this episode made me change my mind. I wish he had stayed dead. The rest of the season was so-so. I loved "Living in the Gray", and there were some really good slice-of -life shows, but overall it wasn't that great.
This current season has had some good and some bad. The good is that it really developed some current characters, like the Washingtons and most of the kid characters. Then, recently, something really good happened. EUGENE CAME BACK!!!! After five years of sadness and depression, the geek is back in Odyssey! Although I really don't like Audrey Wasilewski's potrayal of Katrina. C'mon, producers, bring back Pam Hayden (since she is avaliable) and re-record Katrina's lines in the past few episodes (and the upcoming season finale) for the album version. I doubt Ms. Wasilewski would mind, as she was probably given the role at the last minute and hopefully has already been paid. Otherwise, this season just got so much better, cause EUGENE'S BACK!
In the future I hope AIO starts going down some new roads. I love to see (or hear) Connie starting college and Eugene at his job at the college (what a great way for them to interact!) Some of the older kids, like Liz, Mandy and Jared could start high school, and so maybe the show could delicately deal with a couple of high school issues, parental warnings in place of course. Aubrey and Nick could become the main working force at Whit's End, since both Connie and Eugene are at the college. I'd love to hear those two argue! Overall, while I was a little unsure at first, I'm now very optimistic about the future of "Adventures in Odyssey"! |

Connie isn't at the college, at least from what I know.

That's why I think she should start. She graduated years ago, and she has the money from Whit's trust fund.

Ah, I was confused. You were saying you want that to happen, and I thought you were saying she was already there.
